Essential Soft Skills

Curriculum

Essential Soft Skills Courseware helps learners develop and demonstrate attitudinal and behavioral skills that are essential to success in the workplace and school. These competencies are a key component of WIN’s comprehensive approach to preparing learners and job seekers for success and providing future employers with workplace-ready candidates.

Assessment

The Essential Soft Skills Assessment measures a learner’s ability to communicate, collaborate, demonstrate professionalism, and think critically in real-world workplace scenarios. Learners are required to determine the best and worst way to respond to each situation. The assessment measures a learner’s ability to negotiate, respond to complaints, and settle disputes in an appropriate manner; collaborate with others to accomplish a task; communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers; use critical thinking to solve a problem; and demonstrate punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic.

Credential

When learners successfully pass the Essential Soft Skills Assessment, they earn the Essential Soft Skills Credential. Earning the Essential Soft Skills Credential provides participants with a valuable addition to their resume or portfolio that lets employers know they have the highly-demanded soft skills to succeed. The back of the credential details the skills the learner has mastered.
